In Kashmir, police found the bodies of 15 Hindu shepherds kidnapped earlier by Moslem rebels. Five other captives were found alive, but wounded. Elsewhere in Kashmir, five rebels and one civilian were killed. One of the rebel dead was a leader of the Hizbul Mujahideen (Abdul Rashid Rather).
