The US will not deliver 71 F-16 warplanes Pakistan ordered and paid for in the late 1980s. Delivery was not made because of sanctions against Pakistan in retaliation for the Pakistani nuclear weapons program. The payments for the aircraft was returned in the form of other aid. In Kashmir, rebel violence left four rebels and two policemen dead.
