Pakistan has called for an international UN led peacekeeping force for Afghanistan. While Pakistan is hostile to the Northern Alliance, it has also been noted that the Pushtun tribes in Afghanistan have rebelled against the Taliban and that pro-Taliban Pakistani Pushtuns are demoralized at the rapid collapse of the Taliban (and blaming the Pakistani government for the defeat.) In Kashmir, Pakistani and Indian exchanged fire across the Line of Control, leaving one Pakistani civilian dead and three wounded.
