In Kashmir, several attacks left 8 rebels and five soldiers  dead. Two retired Pakistani nuclear scientists, arrested, questioned and released earlier on suspicion of working for bin Laden, were arrested again. Evidence had been found in Afghanistan that the scientists were indeed working for bin Laden.
