Archives

In Kashmir, rebel action left 21 dead. The continued movement of rebels across the Line of Control into Indian Kashmir has caused India to again threaten war with Pakistan.

Indian generals say they can sustain the mobilization of their troops on the Pakistani border for at least another year. The cost in terms of money (additional costs) and poor morale (living out in the open)  eventually forces the troops to be withdrawn to their barracks.

In southwest Pakistan, a Hindu temple and a Christian church were vandalized.
