In Kashmir, Indian police killed a senior leader of rebel group Hizbul Mujahedin. The rebels were planning to attack and derail a train.

Captured rebels in northeast India admitted that many of them keep their families across the border in Bangladesh. But Bangladesh denies this and refuses to take action to investigate the charges. However, Bangladesh said it would destroy any camps if India would provide their locations. But it appears that most of the rebels don't live in camps, but simply among the local population.
