The Indian army says it has stopped about one attempt per day by rebels trying to cross over from Pakistan into Kashmir. 

Pakistani Islamic conservatives are in an uproar over continued army operations along the Afghan border. The Islamic conservatives tend to back Taliban and al Qaeda groups. Recently, the head of one Islamic political party was arrested for trying to incite soldiers to mutiny.
