In the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, a Shia Moslem religious celebration was attacked by bombs and gunfire, killing fifty and wounding many more. Conservative Sunni Moslems have long used violence against Shia Moslems, whom they consider as heretics. Government attempts to stop the violence have failed, for decades. Pakistani Sunni Islamic radicals are in sync with Wahabi Islamic radicals in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere (including Afghanistan).
