Pakistani police arrested an Egyptian and a Saudi Arabian as al Qaeda suspects. Bomb making materials were seized when the men were picked up in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province. One of the men was later identified as an al Qaeda explosives expert. Al Qaeda members are believed fleeing to Baluchistan, because the army is all over the Pushtun tribal areas to the northeast, and the police have increased counter-terrorist operations in the non-tribal cities to the east.
