In Aceh, six people died, including one policeman and at least a few rebels. In the capital, some 200 Islamic radical peacefully demonstrated against US operations in Afghanistan. The police attacked the crowd with tear gas and clubs because it was a public holiday and no demonstrations were allowed. There have been daily, but small, anti-American demonstrations.
