The US has openly accused Iran of supporting terrorism. Iran has long been openly supporting the Hizbollah organization in Lebanon (while officially denying such support). Hizbollah has been fighting Israel for nearly 20 years. Iranian supported terrorists is considered responsible for the deaths of several Americans. Iran has also set up terrorist training camps in Iran and American says it has evidence that Iran has supported al Qaeda. Complicating this situation is that the terrorist support in Iran comes from the religious conservative groups that are currently battling a more moderate government elected with an 80 percent plurality.  .
