India and Iran will hold joint naval exercises, with five Iranian ships arriving in the Indian port of Bombay over the weekend.  India has always considered itself the regional superpower, and has tried to link that power with active diplomacy with all its neighbors. This isolates India's major enemy; Pakistan. The links between the Iranian and Indian navy comes at the expense of the Iranian religious militants, who see India as an enemy of Islam because of the long standing disputes between India and Pakistan.
