Iraq continues to chip away at the embargo. Oil is being sent through Syria via a long unused pipeline. The border with Jordan is free of embargo enforcement, as is the Jordanian port a Aqaba. Iraq briefly stopped shipping oil in an attempt to get some of the income freed from UN monitoring. But the ploy failed and oil shipments resumed. The air embargo is pretty much dead. Spare parts for weapons are imported and new weapons, especially electronic ones, come in.
