Saudi Arabia has warned Iraq about the increasing number of raids Iraqi soldiers have made on Saudi border posts over the last three months. There have been eleven such incidents, Until recently, all the Iraqis did was fire their weapons across the frontier at Saudi border posts. But on May 23rd, Iraqi troops advanced some 400 meters into Saudi Arabia. A subsequent gun battle left one Iraqi dead and several Saudis wounded. Iraq has denied that the incident even took place.
