Iraqis celebrated in the streets as it was announced that DNA tests confirmed that Saddam Hussein was indeed a prisoner and was talking. The Iraqi provisional government plans to try Hussein in Iraqi courts on charges of crimes against humanity, war crimes, theft and apparently much else. 

In western Iraq, a car bomb went off near a police station, killing 17 policemen and wounding more than 30.
