Israel has called up some of it's military reserves to provide more manpower for it's anti-terror operations. Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat called for a truce, based on guidelines worked out with American officials. Israel refused, insisting that Arafat had no control, or no desire to control, over terrorists. Pronouncements by the terrorists indicate that they do not want any peace with the Israelis.
