: 10.0pt"> An opinion poll among Israelis and Palestinians found that in both groups, 72 percent supported a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders. This means no additional territory controlled by Israel because of Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory. But 21 percent of Israelis did not believe the Palestinians could, or would, stop the violence while 30 percent of Palestinians did not believe the Israelis could agree (among themselves) to allow the Palestinian state to be established.
