In a major crackdown, and after an intense investigation, eight Israeli border policemen have been arrested for abusing and robbing Palestinians they encounter in their daily duties. More arrests are expected. 

The additional US Patriot missile batteries sent to Israel in anticipation of the Iraq war, are now being withdrawn. The American troops are leaving within a week.
