Palestinian prime minister Mahmud Abbas has come right out and said that he can get all the Palestinian terrorist organizations to agree to a truce. This, he feels, will take several weeks of negotiations.

The US State Department has warned Americans to stay away from Gaza, for there is well founded fears that terrorist organizations are planning to kidnap Americans.
