Many Israelis believe the goals of the Palestinians, and al Qaeda, are merging. The Palestinians, from the founding of Israel, have sought to eliminate Israel and expel all Jews from the Middle East. This has always been the goal of al Qaeda, but as part of a larger plan to expel all infidels (non-Moslems) from the Middle East. The Palestinians were never into the al Qaeda "worldwide Islamic state" idea, but many are now. Opinion surveys indicate that most Arabs are upset with the inability of their governments to create productive economies and justice. These Arab governments prefer to blame the West, as they could not blame themselves and stay in power. The Islamic radicals blame the Arab governments, and the West, because it is easier to attack the West than the Arab governments (who have police and security forces that are able to deal with the Islamic terrorists.)
