Three bombs went off in the Egyptian Red Sea resort complex of Sharm el Sheik, killing over 80 and wounding several hundred people. Most of the injured were Egyptian, although at least eight were foreigners. Islamic terrorists have been making attacks on tourists for over a decade, and the Egyptian police and public (who depend on the tourists for jobs) have generally been successful at shutting down the terrorist groups. But terrorists from outside the country continue to be a threat.
A Palestinian suicide bomber from Gaza was intercepted and arrested before the bomb could be set off inside Israel.
