A lawsuit by the family of two Americans killed by Palestinian terrorists in Israel has led to a court order freezing Palestinian Authority assets in the United States. The Palestinian Authority claimed sovereign immunity (a nation may not be sued by an individual), but American courts decided that the Palestinian Authority was less a government, and more a supporter of terrorism. At this point, the Palestinian Authority has to either convince the U.S. Supreme Court that it is a real government, or find itself blocked from doing business in the U.S. until it pays the $116 million judgment against it.
