Rebel and government troops are fighting again in the northeast near the Ivory Coast border, around the city of Tappita. There is a strategic crossroads, with one route heading towards the port of Buchanan and the other to the capital. Skirmishing has also been reported on at least other three fronts: at Ganta near the Guinean border, at the port of Harper in the southeast and in Guthrie, near the Sierra Leonean border. - Adam Geibel
