President Taylor was seen moving weapons and household goods from the capital to his farm 160 kilometers north, in territory dominated by his tribe. Such a move would make Taylor almost impossible to capture. The Liberian violence over the last two decades has largely been based on tribal loyalty. Taylor's tribe will defend him. For this reason, Liberians are now calling for American or British troops come come in. In Sierra Leone, British Royal Marine Commandos were brought in for a few months to eliminate those rebel groups that appeared invulnerable.
