Nepal: Teenage Terrorists Want to Go Home

October 19, 2005: Some 80 Maoist rebels surrendered to the army. Since many of the Maoist gunmen are kidnapped teenagers who were brainwashed and coerced into service, there is always the possibility of getting the kids to quit.

October 17, 2005: Indians believe that Nepalese Maoists are crossing the border to provide technical advice (like handling explosives) for Maoist rebels inside India.

October 15, 2005: In eastern Nepal, troops clashed with Maoist rebels, despite the truce, and killed three of them.
