Thousands of Moslems in northern Nigeria celebrated in the streets when they heard of the terror attacks in New York City and Washington DC the day before. Such demonstrations will increase antagonism between Christians and Moslems, as the attacks were harshly criticized in the Christian south. Fighting between Moslems and Christians has broken out again in the central city of Jos.
