Tribal and religious violence continues. In central Nigeria, Fulani tribal militias have been attacking villages belonging to the Tiv tribe. The tribal feuds over land are made worse by religious differences. The local governments have so far kept a lid on the violence, but national tribal and religious organizations are forming, and arming.
