Police say an informer has identified the men responsible for the February 14 bombings. Despite the widespread popularity of Islamic terrorists in the Moslem population, there are also many Moslem and Christian Filipinos who oppose the use of terrorism. That, plus the availability of cash rewards, usually produces someone who will turn in the bombers. 

On Jolo, troops caught up with Abu Sayyaf gunmen. The gun battle left three soldiers and five rebels dead.
