The US plans to increase its military aid to Georgia (the one in the Caucasus, not the state), which was already scheduled for $11 million. Georgia is seen as important to the War on Terror, as its forces are dealing with rebels and terrorists fleeing from Chechnya and Afghanistan. The US provided Georgia with six UH-1 helicopters (plus four others to be cannibalized for spare parts) and Turkey gave Georgia two more UH-1s.--Stephen V Cole
