An opinion survey showed that 80 percent of Russia's military officers were unhappy with their pay and benefits and less than half planned to make the military a career. So, as the Russian economy continues to improve, more officers will leave as soon as they get a decent job offer. While the Russian economy has been growing in the past few years, the government is reluctant to radically increase the pay of the officers.
