The Burundian government reported 12 Burundian troops died in an FNL-led ambush near Kivoga (north of Bujumbura). The ambush kicked off a two-hour long firefight. 100 Hutu rebels also attacked the town of Gihanga, robbed several homes, and wounded several civilians.
