The Burundian Army said its troops killed 50 FNL rebels in an offensive outside of Bujumbura (in the Tenga forest area). The offensive began on November 26 and included mortar, rocket launcher, and helicopter gunship support. The report said 10 Burundian Army soldiers had been killed in the fighting.
