The Khartoum government claims that one of its south Sudanese militias (identified as the "Peace Forces") attacked and "razed" three SPLA camps in south-eastern Sudan (Panjak area). The camps were located in the towns of Khendeq, Jeij, and Janwe. The government claimed 53 SPLA rebels were killed in the attacks.
