NPA rebels killed the mayor if a small town in the north. In the south, police arrested three Abu Sayyaf members, and killed another. Two of the captured each had a $19,000 price on their heads. Also in the south, police continue to fight against men loyal to MILF renegade Nur Misuari. At least six of these rebels were killed.
