A bomb went off at a carnival 90 kilometers north of the capital, leaving 13 dead and over 200 wounded. The rebels are not suspected, as they have been honoring their unilateral truce. The US will increase the military training it is providing Sri Lankan forces. The air force has received six K-8 trainer aircraft from China.
