The government has relaxed the embargo on rebel held areas in the north. Only ten categories of goods (including weapons, ammo and explosives) are now forbidden to freely pass through government checkpoints. This is a big help for the rebels, as the cost of living, because of the embargo, was some 20 percent higher in rebel controlled areas.
