NATO has opened a new headquarters to control air operations over the Balkans. This is Combined Air Operations Center Five, located in Poggio Renatico, Italy. Staffed by 200 NATO personnel and commanded by an Italian three-star general, this headquarters controls all NATO air operations over the Balkans, Hungary, and Italy.--Stephen V Cole
