GONAIVES, Haiti (Sept. 15, 2008) Service members embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) unload food and water during disaster relief support to areas affected by recent hurricanes in Haiti. Kearsarge has been diverted from the scheduled Continuing Promise 2008 humanitarian assistance deployment in the western Caribbean to conduct hurricane relief operations in Haiti.
