PACIFIC OCEAN (June 5, 2011) Sailors join a working party to scrub down the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) during a test of the ship's counter measure washdown system. The countermeasure wash down system is used to remove chemical, radiological, and biological contaminants from the surface of the ship in the event of an attack. George Washington has successfully completed a six-month routine maintenance period and is underway conducting sea trials. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Adam K. Thomas)
