Pacific Ocean (April 23, 2013) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Katie Glendy, assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Anchorage (LPD 23), directs the launch of an MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 on the flight deck of the Amphibious Transport Dock Ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Air Department Sailors from San Diego are aboard Anchorage earning qualifications and maintaining proficiency while the ship is underway.
