The January peace talks between Israel and Syria will take place at the conference center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. This is thought to be close enough that President Clinton can helicopter in for quick mediation of key points, but far enough away that the Washington media's heaviest hitters won't stay on the site the entire time. --Stephen V Cole
