Israeli aircraft and artillery attacked Hezbollah and Amal positions in southern Lebanon after Hezbollah and Amal attacked Israeli and militia positions in South Lebanon .Two Lebanese were killed, one a soldier, and two civilians were injured. For the first time since 1998, the Lebanese army got involved, using tanks and infantry to fire on Israeli positions.
