Israel: April 13, 2000


A civilian convoy traveling to an Israeli settlement, escorted by a jeep full of troops, was ambushed in the Gaza strip. No one was injured as two roadside bombs went off and rifle fire came from a nearby Palestinian settlement. There were no injuries. This was worrisome, because it was the first time such an attack took place in the Gaza strip. In south Lebanon, Hezbollah rockets landed near the Israeli border in and Hezbollah attacked  pro-Israeli militia in South Lebanon. .
