Israeli prime minister Barak is on the verge of being tossed out of office since his coalition fell apart (the religious parties left.) Attempts to form a new coalition with right wing parties have failed, which is not surprising as this would make Barak's attempts to work out a deal with the Palestinians much more difficult. Because of the current violence, the opposition parties have held off on forcing Barak out of office. But this restraint will not likely last more than another month.
