The death toll in the violence has reached 300. While most of the dead are Palestinian, the Palestinians tend to see all the violence as worthwhile. The Palestinian situation is now given world wide attention and Israel, America and many other major nations are scrambling to cut a deal with the Palestinians. However, hopes have been raised, perhaps impossibly so, among Palestinians and a deal that brings peace between Israel and Palestinians may be harder to obtain than ever before.
