In the last eight months, Israel has destroyed 200 homes of suicide bombers and members of Palestinian terrorist organization. This has had a major impact on terrorist recruiting, as parents and families now pay more attention to what the young men in the household are up to. Although payments to the families of suicide attackers often makes up most of the economic loss, Israel controls the issuance of building permits and will often not allow the terrorist connected family to rebuild in the same neighborhood. Moreover, there are far fewer payments to families of terrorist organization members who have their homes destroyed. With Saddam Hussein now out of power, a major contributor of these payments is now gone.
