The Israeli air force grounded seven of 27 pilots who had earlier announced yesterday that they would not fly missions against terrorist leaders. The other twenty pilots were older men no longer assigned to combat units. Israel has had several hundred army officers and troops refuse duty in the occupied territories as well. Israel tolerates a wide variety of political opinion, even though those who refuse to fight back against Palestinian terrorists are castigated by the majority of the population. It is also pointed out that similar dissident opinions among Palestinians get your physically attacked and killed by fellow Palestinians.
