Police reinforcements were sent to Jerusalem, after informers reported that Palestinians planned a demonstration. Within the Palestinian community, there is no agreement on making peace with Israel. Palestinians are generally united on wanting peace, and an opportunity to rebuild their economy. But a majority of Palestinians still support the idea that Israel must be destroyed, and many support Palestinian terrorists who will not make peace, or even join a ceasefire, with Israel. In any event, Israel will not make peace unless the Palestinian government can stop the Palestinian terrorist attacks. It appears that the Palestinian government won't be able to do that, but this will probably not become an accepted fact until after the Israelis withdraw from Gaza in August, and the Palestinian attacks continue.
