Ibo leaders and governors of southeastern provinces with majority Ibo populations have all condemned calls for the establishment of a Ibo state. Thirty years ago, Ibos fought a bloody civil war to establish the Ibo state of Biafra. The effort failed and there appears to be little enthusiasm for another try.
