The army has launched an investigation of the killing of 200 civilians by soldiers in Benue state on October 22nd. Three of the dead were from the family of a retired lieutenant general (Victor Malu, a Tiv) who lived in the area. The general's house was also destroyed. General Malu has been demanding an investigation.
